1st International Temple was almost a Temple Ship!

$3.00

I asked BYU professor Dr. Richard Bennett to talk about some of the biggest changes in temple practices between 1890 and the present. He mentioned that the first international temple was in Cardston, Alberta, Canada and marked that Joseph F. Smith changed the policy away from gathering to Utah to gathering in international places.  We also discussed the proposal of a temple ship under President David O. McKay.  Why was that idea scuttled?
